We left Paris for Cuba today and I am already having withdrawals for French Camembert & baguettes. It’s not just me either, I noticed the the Kids gravitated to the Camembert on our in flight lunch & spread it over their rolls rather than the butter.
It’s been close on 20 years since my last in Paris or France for that matter. So I have seen many of the Paris tourist sights already. But with extended family and kids we had to visit them again. I had just forgotten the about about the tourists & crowds.
My arm is quite sore. I have been pinching it many times and saying to myself “OMG I am in Paris”. Good news is my cold has gone. Think I’ve given it now to Ann, sorry about that.
Let the holiday begin. Actually, I’ve been saying that since the day contract job ended, three weeks ago but that is another story and this blog is about the family holiday from June 17 to July 14 2012. I may even be able to wrangle, bribe or “whatever” (said with childhood angst tone) Damien (Mr10 turning 11) or Matty (Mr7) to write a post.
